Patrick Ward& Co recently represented a client in an application for an Annulment of marriage.
The application was brought by the husband in circumstances where the wife lacked the capacity to enter into and sustain a normal marital relationship by reason of her state of mind and mental condition. The marriage had not been consummated. The Circuit Family Court made a Decree of Annulment and declared the marriage null and void and of no legal effect. The husband walked away from the marriage with his pre marital assets intact.
